Welcome to NALEP

The National Agriculture and Livestock Extension Programme (NALEP) is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and the Ministry of Livestock Development (MoLD). The Phase I of the programme ended in December 2006 and covered 61 districts and Nairobi Province as shown in the progression (map below), starting with 43 districts (July 2000-June 2005) adding another 10 (July 2005) and another 8 districts and Nairobi province in July 2006. As from July 2007 the remaining 9 ASAL districts were brought on board giving a total of 70 mother Districts and an additional newly created districts numbering 174. This gives NALEP national coverage.
